INDIANAPOLIS — The Penrod Society has decided to cancel the Somerset CPAs and Advisors 54th Annual Penrod Arts Fair.
The Merchants Bank of Indiana 8th Annual Evening with Penrod Presented by TWG Development is also canceled.
The decision to cancel this year’s event was in response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a statement on the Penrod Arts Fair Facebook page:
“The difficult decision to cancel is driven by our responsibility to protect the health and safety of the thousands of patrons, artists, and volunteers that attend our fair annually, in light of the lingering impact of COVID-19, and related health and safety uncertainties.”
“I couldn’t be more proud of our all-volunteer planning team who has worked diligently throughout the year to plan the Arts Fair and Evening with Penrod with safety at the forefront,” said 2020 Penrod Fair Chair Ryan Evans. “It is disappointing that we won’t be able to share our events with our community this year, but safety for everyone that participates in these events comes before all.”
