INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Animal Care Services wants to know what happened to a dog, whose body was found mutilated and dumped near the railroad tracks on the city’s east side.
IACS said the dog’s body was found on Sunday night, and that workers with Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside found the dog near East 21st Street and North Dearborn Street.
The dog was a black and white pit bull mix, and he did not have tags or a microchip.
IACS said they will not release photos of the dog because of the graphic nature he was left in.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
