LAWRENCE, Ind. — A missing 9-year-old boy from Lawrence has been found.

Kamonnie Bennett was brought to DCS Thursday morning and is safe and healthy, according to Lawrence Police.

Lawrence PD said it is “grateful for the tips and callers who offered information to investigators looking to locate Kamonnie safely.”

Bennett went missing Monday afternoon and a Silver Alert was issued following his disappearance.


LAWRENCE, Ind. — Indiana State Police and the Lawrence Police Department need help to find a missing 9-year-old boy.

Kamonnie Bennett was last seen on Monday, Feb. 24 at 4:30 p.m in Lawrence.

Bennett is black, 4 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 70 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, light blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Police believe Bennett is in extreme danger and may need medical assistance.
