Attention Democrats! We’re going to need towels, ice, gauze, pain killers for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The man took one heck of a beatdown Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

You know what? Let’s get some ice for Sen. Elizabeth Warren too. The poor gal’s fists have got to be swollen this morning.

Yes, Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg went toe-to-apple box at the 9th Democratic debate Wednesday night, with the Senator from Massachusetts delivering so many political punches to the diminutive billionaire’s face that we’re thoroughly convinced Mr. Bloomberg has little to no recollection of what took place last night on the stage in Las Vegas. Unfortunately for Bloomberg’s campaign, his performance is forever seared into the collective memory of those who witnessed the merciless beatdown as it occurred.

Wednesday night marked the first of the primary debates that included Bloomberg, a latecomer to the 2020 presidential race. Almost all of the candidates took their shot at the former New York City mayor, but it was Warren who delivered the most devastating blows, dubbing him an “arrogant billionaire” and referencing allegations that Bloomberg has a long history of making sexist comments.

“I’d like to talk about who we’re running against — a billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians,'” Warren said. “And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump, I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.”

“Democrats are not going to win if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women, and of supporting racist policies like redlining and stop and frisk,” she continued.

Curiously, Warren went on to say that she will support the eventual Democratic nominee – presumably even Mr. Bloomberg –  but warned the party will take a “huge risk if we just substitute one arrogant billionaire for another.”

Thursday morning, WIBC host Tony Katz recapped Bloomberg’s beatdown at the 9th Democratic debate. Click below to listen.
