NEW YORK CITY — Now that entrepreneur Andrew Yang has dropped out of the Democrat presidential race as there is speculation he could run for New York City mayor.

Howard Wolfson, a top advisor to presidential candidate and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, says it’s a natural next step for the math whiz.

It’s unclear whether Yang has entertained that idea but he did tell news reporters in New Hampshire that he’s open to joining the winning Democrat’s presidential ticket or Cabinet.

The current field of New York City mayoral candidates includes City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, and City Comptroller Scott Stringer.
