MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. — A construction worker from Terre Haute was killed on the job Tuesday morning.
The 49-year-old man was working on I-74 near the exit for State Road 32 when a steel beam fell on him, says The Journal Review newspaper in Crawfordsville.
His coworkers and emergency personnel at the work site tried to save him, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Police are waiting to release the man’s name until his family has been notified.
