MONROE COUNTY, Ind.–A man was shot and killed by Monroe County deputies when they tried to serve a warrant Tuesday morning. The man came out of his trailer and pointed his gun at the deputies. Two of the four deputies at the scene fired at the man.
Sheriff Brad Swain did not ID the man, who was taken to IU Health Bloomington, where he died.
The shooting happened on Tower Rd., in west Monroe county, about four miles from Bloomington.
State police and Bloomington PD are looking into the shooting.
