MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man arrested outside Muncie Central High School had ten knives strapped to his body, hidden under a long leather coat, say police.
Thomas Owens, 18, was arrested by shortly after classes let out Wednesday by a school security officer who is also a member of the Muncie Police Department. He is not a student at the school.
He told officers he was meeting someone at the school and that he always carries knives. Police say there’s no evidence he was trying to hurt anyone.
Owens faces ten counts of possession of a knife on school property and one count of trespassing.
