SEYMOUR, Ind. – Police are asking for your help to identity a woman who was hit and killed while walking across U.S. 50 in Seymour.

 

According to the Seymour Tribune, the woman was hit around 6 p.m. Sunday not far from Schneck Medical Center, the hospital in Seymour.

 

The woman had died by the time medics showed up. Police say the driver was cooperating with their investigation and no charges have been filed.

 

Investigators believe the woman may have been homeless since she was wearing several layers of clothing including windbreaker pants over sweatpants and a heavy winter coat.

 

She is described as 5’ 5”, 175 pounds with medium-length red hair that was graying.  She was wearing brown wire-framed glasses at the time of the crash.

 

Investigators are performing an autopsy to help identify the woman.
