WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Trump’s inauguration committee is likely being subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in New York.

According to the Washington Post, the subpoena is broad in scope, but it does highlight former long time Democratic party donor Imaad Zuberi.

The New York Times was the first to report that a lawyer working with the inaugural committee received a subpoena, which demands several documents related to the committee’s donors and event attendees.

Prosecutors are reportedly looking to see if any foreign entities donated to the organization. An inaugural committee spokesperson told the Times that it intends to cooperate.

The committee raised 107-million-dollars for the inauguration in 2017.  That’s twice as much as former Presidents Obama and Bush raised.
