No Reason For Indianapolis To Pat Itself On The Back Yet

No reason for Indianapolis to pat itself on the back yet. We still haven’t solved our crime and homeless issues. Our reduced weekend crime has to be the standard. Not only when “company” is in town.
You had WNBA All Star Weekend, you had the Indy Black Expo. Everything seemed to go off without a hitch. No one was violating curfew. Everybody was good. Great. I only hope the city made a corrupt ton of money. If you are a server, I just wanna know how. How were people spending? How are they tipping? How did it all go? Love to know how it went because I mean, you’ve got the rain, which could limit things, but maybe that meant more people in the bars longer, more people in the restaurants longer. Maybe that was actually better. For business all the way around, maybe that is good for, for, for like a grab and go kind of place. But they didn’t have the issues. I’m happy to see it. And you’ve got Rick Snyder, Fraternal Order of Police, putting out the statement.
When accountability and consequences. Criminal behavior are clearly articulated and understood. It works. Let Indianapolis know that we’re not going to take any nonsense here, but that involves a Police Department and a mayor who are actually committed to it, not just doing it when the company is over and they want to show a clean house. We have we still have plenty to work on. We have a Skid Row. Did you see it there at Indy Reporter, and the and the images they were putting out of the tents and. We have a homeless issue.
We still haven’t solved something, figured it out. We’re not even actually working on it, or are we? Or an update would be great, but it’s still a problem. When something is successful, we say so. When something is still an issue, we say so. But it’s an issue if we are only able to do this when the company is over, like the WNBA, and we don’t do this for the people who live here every day. That has to be the standard. The latter. We do this every day, all the time. We don’t put up with the nonsense. You will suffer the consequences. So, let’s see what happens next weekend then. Hope for the best
