Hey, remember how “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett falsely claimed he was the victim of a hate crime, cost the city of Chicago $130,000 to investigate his bulls*** story, and then got away with little more than a slap on the wrist? Well, dig this: disgusting individual, prolific liar, and pathetic imbecile Smollett might win an NAACP Image Award this weekend.
Smollett, who continues to profess his innocence while simultaneously making no attempt whatsoever to urge law enforcement to locate and arrest his ‘real’ attackers, is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at Saturday’s event.
But surely NO ONE is pulling for Smollett to take home a trophy in light of his embarrassingly obvious and shameful guilt, right? Well, not so fast, you racist! Host Anthony Anderson said he hopes fake victim Smollett goes home a winner!
“I hope to see him here,” the “Black-ish” star told Variety during a preview of the show.
