ANDERSON, Ind. — A New Castle woman is accused of murdering her own mother.

Mona Davis, 53, was reported missing by a coworker in early June.

Police found Davis’ body hidden away inside her Anderson apartment on June 20.

Her daughter, 34-year-old Bonnie Joslin, was charged with murder on Wednesday.

Davis’ sister, Michelle Myers, told The (Anderson) Herald Bulletin that Joslin impersonated her mother on Facebook to make it look like she was still alive.

“She even got on Mona’s Facebook and her Facebook and acted like she got in an argument with Mona,” Myers told the newspaper. “Mona was already dead and she was up there acting like they were into it. She was dead.”

The Madison Co. Coroner is still waiting for toxicology test results and a final autopsy report to determine how Davis died.

Police have not said what motive Joslin may have had for the crime.
