CARMEL, Ind.- This weekend is the 3rd Annual Festival of Ice on Mainstreet in the Carmel Arts & Design District. A weekend that celebrates the art of ice carving is facing trouble as the heavy rain sets in. The Ice at Center Green says because of the unusual warmer (and damp) weather the ice rink will be closed for the weekend.
However, Friday and Sunday you can witness professional artists carve away and turn a block of ice into a masterpiece!

Sunday, January 12 at The Ice at Center Green
9 a.m. – noon, Ice Carving competition
Noon – 3 p.m. Carmel Fire Department Chili Cook-off
1 – 4 p.m. Quick Carve Off
4 p.m. Winners announced
