INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana State Police say a woman was shot while driving along I-70 early Saturday morning.
According to ISP, officers were called to I-70 near Keystone Avenue Saturday just after 4 a.m. on reports of a person shot.
The female victim told officers she was driving when someone fired shots at her vehicle. She pulled over to the side of the road and called police. She was shot in her upper leg. Police say her injury is not life-threatening.
Detectives ultimately served two search warrants on Saturday with the assistance of SWAT. However no arrests have been made at this time. Police say the incident was not a random act.
No other details have been released. The shooting remains under investigation.
