MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — An 82-year-old woman has died after a house fire in Mooresville on Wednesday afternoon, according to Mooresville Police Department.
Emergency responders were called to a home in the 100 block of Fairwood Court, just after 2 p.m.
Firefighters were able to remove one male from the home and he was transported to Eskenazi Hospital. A woman was also found at the scene. She died from injuries sustained in the fire, according to authorities. She has been identified as 82-year-old Opal Daughtery.
Information on how the fire started was not immediately available.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
