PLAINFIELD, Ind. — A Plainfield police officer has been arrested for drunk driving.

On Friday, off-duty Plainfield police officer, Patrick Tucker, showed up to a scene intoxicated, said police.

Another officer noticed Tucker was drunk. He was removed from the scene and Indiana State Police took over the investigation.

State Police arrested Tucker for drunk driving, and he was taken to the Hendricks County Jail.

Tucker has been placed on administrative leave without pay, and a recommendation for termination is being considered by the Plainfield Police Commissioner Board.

“The actions of this officer are unacceptable,” said Plainfield Police Chief Jared McKee. “The Plainfield Police Department refuses to compromise the quality of service we provide to the community and will continue to hold our officers accountable and to a higher standard.”
