[Corvallis, OR]- Purdue football is 1-2 on the season after a 38-21 loss to Oregon State Saturday night.

The Beavers got off to a 7-0 lead after the first quarter, extending it to 17-7 at the halftime break. Purdue would be held scoreless in the third quarter, but did score fourteen in the fourth. However, Oregon State scored twenty-one points in the second half on the way to victory.

Senior Quarterback Hudson Card was held under at least 100 yards passing for the first time this season. Card would go one to one on the touchdown to interception ratio.

Devon McKobee carried the ball sixteen times for 168 yards and one touchdown. Reggie Love III would also score a rushing touchdown, having 66 yards on ten carries.

Max Klare led the receiving core, having two receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.

As a team, Purdue had 319 yards of total offense, 263 of which came on the ground. The Boilermaker defense allowed 341 yards rushing for Oregon State, and a grand total of 445 yards of total offense. Purdue was penalized twice for twenty-five yards.

Purdue returns to West Lafayette next week when they host Nebraska.
