President Trump’s early rise to power is getting a Hollywood treatment in the upcoming film “The Apprentice”.
Actor Sebastian Stan is portraying Donald Trump in the upcoming film. In the first tease for the movie, Stan is seen playing Trump during his early ascent to power, with guidance from Roy Cohn.

The movie has also caught the attention of the Trump campaign. After the film’s debut at Cannes earlier this year, the campaign sent a cease-and-desist letter. Team Trump stated, “This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked.”
The film is scheduled for a U.S. release on October 11, just before the election.

However, the filmmakers are seeking financial support to enhance the film’s theatrical release. They launched a Kickstarter campaign called “Release the Apprentice” to help keep the film in theaters for as long as possible. A $25 donation allows supporters to stream the film after its theatrical release. A $100 donation earns a spot in a special section of the end credits.

In addition to “The Apprentice,” a short documentary film titled “Kamala” is also set to hit theaters in October.
With these releases, October is shaping up to be a month of politically charged films. Get your popcorn.
