INDIANAPOLIS—Three people were killed and two others were hurt in several shootings that happened across Indianapolis in less than five hours between Sunday and Monday morning.

The most recent shooting was on Indy’s east side. Around 12:40 a.m. Monday, Indianapolis Metro police responded to the intersection of E. 18th street and N. Dequincy Street.

One person was found dead in a street.

About two hours earlier, police also investigated a shooting on the northeast side at the intersection of E. 34th Street and N. Keystone Avenue around 10:45 pm Sunday.  Two people were shot in a pickup truck at the Conoco gas station. A woman in the truck was pronounced dead. A man had also been shot in the truck, but police say he was able to get out of the truck and flag down officers for help. They believe he was shot in the arm.

Prior to that, there was a shooting on Indy’s northwest side at around 7:50 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a man had been shot outside of the El Pastorcito restaurant on Michigan Road, near 79th Street. He later died from his injuries at a hospital.

“Currently, it’s an ongoing investigation. We’ve got numerous witnesses that we’re trying to get information from, but a victim did leave the scene,” said Captain Fred Ilnicki with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made in these shootings.
