MUNCIE, Ind. — A little boy shot and killed his younger sister in Muncie Tuesday, and the parents are the ones facing charges.

Police say they were called to a home in Muncie Tuesday afternoon about a shot having been fired. Cops and EMTs arrived and took a five-year-old girl who had been shot to Ball Memorial where she died.

Police pieced together what happened. They say the girl’s six-year-old brother got a hold of a gun in the home and pulled the trigger hitting his sister. Once that was apparent, they arrested the parents, Kimberly and Jacob Grayson.

Both are charged with neglect resulting in death.
