Indianapolis Metro Police say the shooting happened just before 3 o’clock in an alley branching off of Lambert Street. That’s down the street from the Indianapolis Public Library West Branch and the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center.

IMPD Public Information Officer Samone Burris says the suspect and victim most likely knew one another. Witnesses say the suspect quickly ran away after the shooting. Police are still looking for that suspect.
