Going into this fifth year, I really never knew my skin could be so tough. – Lia Reich, daughter of Colts head coach Frank Reich on dealing with the criticism that comes with being a part of an NFL family

Lia Reich has heard it all growing up in a football family.  Her father, Frank Reich, is heading into his fifth season as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, and she’s learned that criticism and having a thick skin comes with the job description.  Lia joined Wednesday’s edition of Kevin & Query to discuss her involvement with the kNot Today Foundation, which protects children from sexual abuse, trafficking and exploitation as well as their upcoming charity event this weekend.  She also discussed what it’s like growing up in a football family her entire life and how to drown out the outside noise from critics.

During free agency, our family is listening to all the podcasts and checking Twitter just like everybody else.  We get no behind the scenes information. – Lia Reich on dispelling the notion the immediate family ever gets the drop on any team news

Lia remains optimistic about the Colts and the upcoming season and says the Reich family takes every success as a family success and every failure as a family failure.

When it comes to the kNot Today Foundation, their Courage To Compete charity event at Woodland Bowl this Saturday night is completely sold out but they are always accepting donations and looking for support to raise awareness.  More information about the kNot Today Foundation can be found at their website: kNOT TODAY | End Child Sexual Exploitation | Non-Profit | Indianapolis
