Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to call out the media for their fake news and false narratives.

During a press conference, DeSantis was asked about the Parental Rights in Education legislation, which the left have labeled the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. The bill will prohibit any discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in certain grades.

DeSantis interjects as a reporter asked about the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

“Does it say that in the bill? Does it say that in the bill? I’m asking you to tell me what’s in the bill, because you are pushing false narratives.”

The reporter went on to say the bill aims to stop instruction of gender identity and sexual orientation in the classroom. DeSantis was quick to correct, adding the bill only applies to pre-K through third grade.

“And the idea that you wouldn’t be honest about that and tell people what it actually says, it’s why people don’t trust people like you, because you peddle false narratives, and so we disabuse you of those narratives.”

The Florida Senate is expected to vote on HB 1557 Tuesday.
