INDIANAPOLIS — An unwelcome guest thrown out and taken to jail by conservation officers.

The Indiana DNR says in a Facebook post that a girls’ youth group was hiking on private property with permission when they came to a cave and found a man living there. The DNR won’t say exactly where the cave is in Indiana.

The man had a tent and various supplies. Turns out it was the hide-out for a felon on the run. He was arrested and taken to jail on unrelated warrants.

The DNR is reminding you that if “you want to play mountain man” you need to do it on your own property or with permission from the landowner.
