TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Who will be in charge of building the new casino in Terre Haute?

It was supposed to be Lucy Luck Gaming, a Terre Haute-based company that was developing a $175 million casino. But in June, the Indiana Gaming Commission denied Lucy Luck a license because they didn’t hire an executive team and did not have full financing secured.

So the IGC reopened the application process, and received four bids, including one from Hard Rock and one from Churchill Downs Inc. in Louisville.

However, Inside Indiana Business reports the commission will now consider a settlement offer from Lucy Luck.

The IGC is still expected to announce the winning proposal on November 17, although it’s not clear if the settlement offer from the previous license holder will have an affect on the decision.
