WEST HARRISON, Ind. — A truck driver died Wednesday morning after the truck crashed into a weigh station on Interstate 74.

Indiana State Police say the semi, driven by James Bristol of Tennessee, went off the road near the Indiana/Ohio state line just before 5 am. and hit the scale house at the West Harrison weigh station.

Bristol was killed in the crash.

No one was inside the building at the time.

Indiana State Police believe that a medical issue may have played a role in the accident. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected. An autopsy is pending.
