KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo woman wanted following the death of her 10-month-old son has turned herself in to police.

Nicole Groleau, 30, was arrested after turning herself in Friday morning, the Kokomo Police Department said on Facebook.

Groleau faces charges of battery with death to a person under 14 years old and two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury to a person under 14 years old in connection with the April death of her son, Ace Groleau.

Kokomo police responded to a home on Rue Royale North on the morning of April 25 on a report of an unconscious and unresponsive infant. Ace Groleau was transported to St Vincent Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Howard County Coroner ruled the child’s death was a homicide.
