TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — An officer with the Terre Haute Police Department was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at around 2 p.m. outside a building west of the Vigo County Courthouse, according to WISH-TV.
Sgt. Ryan Adamson with the Terre Haute Police Department said on Twitter, “We have unfortunately had an officer shot in the line of duty. Our officer has passed away. We will release more information as the case allows.”

Adamson did not release any information about a suspect.
