The brand names being recalled are Censea, Hannaford, Open Acres, Waterfront Bistro, Honest Catch, Chicken of the Sea, 365, and Meijer.

The affected products were sold between late Dec. 2020 and late Feb. 2021.

There have been at least six cases of Salmonella-related illness in two states linked to the affected shrimp.

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

If you’ve purchased any of the recalled shrimp, you should return it to the store for a full refund.
