RICHMOND, Ind. — A man is dead and a woman was wounded after a shooting Thursday evening in Richmond.
Richmond Police say they found 46-year-old John D. Day shot to death and 76-year-old Brenda Day with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Both were found inside a home on the city’s northeast side.
Brenda Day was taken to the hospital, where she had surgery, according to the Richmond Palladium-Item.
Officers arrested Elick Allen, 41, and booked him into the Wayne County Jail on preliminary charges of murder and attempted murder. He is being held without bail.
Police believe there was an ongoing feud between the Days and Allen over a driveway that led to a fight. After the fight, the shooting occurred.
