WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. — A former Purdue basketball start was arrested early Wednesday morning on drug charges.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Office says Caleb Swanigan was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia around 2 a.m. He was released on bond.
Swanigan helped lead Homestead High School to an IHSAA state championship in 2015, and was named Indiana Mr. Basketball that year. He then played for the Purdue Boilermakers before being drafted into the NBA by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2017.
