(INDIANAPOLIS) — Five Indiana companies are ranked among the 100 healthiest workplaces in
America.
The Indianapolis health-care consulting firm Springbuk has compiled the list for 12 years based on
employer questionnaires. Indy-based Anthem makes the list for the first time, while Carmel’s CNO
Financial Group is listed for the seventh straight year. They’re joined by Indianapolis-headquartered
Duke Realty, which has offices in 21 cities across the U.S.; Indianapolis beer distributor Monarch
Beverage; and Lebanon-based Witham Health Services.
Duke benefits manager Rani Brar says the company offers employees incentives for physical and
mental wellness activities like working out, running a 5K, taking a nutrition class, or meditating. The
pandemic prompted the company to pursue some creative alternatives to reach people working from
home. The company hired a personal trainer to record a video outlining a home workout which
doesn’t require specialized gym equipment, and posted a series of yoga videos.
And Brar says employees received Duke-branded aprons and recipes to try. The company compiled
employees’ own recipes into a cookbook.
