INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in downtown Indianapolis.

Police were called to the 300 block of East New York Street shortly before 4 a.m. Monday on a report of a person shot.

Officers arrived and found a man that had been shot. The man was treated for his injuries but did not survive.

Homicide detectives are investigating.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office will share the man’s name once his family has been notified.
