BLOOMINGTON, Ind.–Two minority organizations at Indiana University say they were racially targeted during Zoom meetings last week.
Ja’nay Coleman, a junior at IU and the NAACP secretary, says someone posted racial slurs during their virtual meeting. The meeting was being held to try and provide information to prospective members, but organizers say it was interrupted by people uttering racial slurs and criticizing the Black Lives Matter movement.
She says racial slurs were also posted in a virtual meeting hosted by Curls and Coils, another Black organization on campus.
Coleman notified IU of the incident on Twitter.
