MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — Deputies in Morgan County have some new gear that will help them save lives.
Bolt for the Heart, and Indiana nonprofit, donated 35 automatic external defibrillators, or AEDs, to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. AEDs are used to save someone in cardiac arrest.
They received enough to put the AEDs in all of the department’s sheriff cars.
“You want to have every tool available to you to be able to say I did everything to come out the best way possible,” said Sheriff Richard Myers.
He said the AEDs are one tool they can now use to do that and save lives.
