Man Charged With Shooting Indiana Judges Claims Self-Defense
INDIANAPOLIS — The man charged with shooting two southern Indiana judges outside a White Castle in downtown Indianapolis says he did it in self-defense.
In court papers filed Tuesday, Brandon Kaiser claims he was pulling on a locked door, trying to get into the White Castle, when Judges Andrew Adams and Brad Jacobs approached him. He says the two men then slammed him to the ground, beat him and choked him.
Kaiser faces 14 charges related to the May 2019 shooting.
