WASHINGTON, D.C.–Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) is expected to meet with Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Aug. 15, said a prepared statement from Donnelly’s office, Tuesday.

Kavanaugh, who is serving on the D.C. Court of Appeals, was nominated by President Donald Trump, July 9, to serve as the next justice on the US Supreme Court.

“Donnelly has consistently said he would carefully review and consider Judge Kavanaugh’s record, meet with him, and follow his confirmation hearing,” said The news release.

Donnelly is one of three Democrats who voted for the Republican president’s last choice, Justice Neil Gorsuch, who is up for re-election.

Republican Sen. Todd Young has also said that he will carefully review Kavanaugh’s qualifications before making a decision on a confirmation vote.
