FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ind.--Increased security will be at Franklin Central High School today because of a social media threat that happened Monday night.
The high school and the police department investigated the threat and discovered that the threat was not credible.
Franklin Central High School posted on their Facebook page that there will be more police officers at the school as a precautionary measure.
“The safety and security of our students is of the utmost importance,” Franklin Central High School shared in a message on their Facebook account. “It is unfortunate that someone has used social media to try and disrupt the educational process at Franklin Central.”
