FRANKLIN CO, Ind. —  A man and woman from Indianapolis are accused of burglarizing a southern Indiana church.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies received a complaint Nov. 26 about a suspicious couple at a gas station near Metamora.

During their investigation, deputies found two people who matched the description provided by dispatchers: 21-year-old Ramonte Robinson, Jr. and 36-year-old Katie McDaniel.

A search of the couple and their belongings turned up several items believed to have been stolen from Metamora Bible Baptist Church. Deputies also linked Robinson and McDaniel to an abandoned car that had been reported stolen in Indianapolis.

Robinson and McDaniel were arrested and each was charged with two counts of Burglary and two counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. McDaniel, a convicted felon, was also charged for being in possession of a firearm.

The pair was being held Tuesday in Franklin County.
