BOONE COUNTY, Ind.–Saturday is the one-year anniversary of the shooting of Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Pickett.
Pickett was killed while trying to serve an arrest warrant. Now people in Boone County want to honor Pickett’s life.
The first Deputy Jacob Pickett Remembrance Day is set for this Saturday at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Saturday will mark the one-year anniversary that Pickett, a Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy, was killed while trying to serve an arrest warrant.
There will be a blood drive, two police dog demonstrations, kids’ activities, food and much more from 11 am to 3 pm.
