PLAINS, Ga. — Former President Jimmy Carter is recovering from surgery after taking a fall at his home in Plains, Georgia.
According to a statement from the Carter Center, the former President broke his hip while leaving to go turkey hunting.
The surgery on his hip was successful, the Carter Center said.
Carter is at a hospital in Americus, Georgia and his wife Rosalynn is with him.
Carter is 94 years old.
