GREENWOOD, Ind. — One man is in the Johnson County Jail after police were able to identify him and find him responsible for a drive-by shooting Tuesday.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says Jonah Henderson, 18, of Greenwood was in the passenger seat of a beige Toyota Camry when he fired shots on Old Smith Valley Road in Greenwood Tuesday morning.

Officers used security camera footage from a gas station to identify Henderson and the driver, another white teenager.

Once they identified Henderson, they found him in the Del Char Trailer Park, just after 5 p.m., and arrested him for attempted murder.

Henderson is in the Johnson County Jail on a cash bond of $40,000.

The driver of the car has been interviewed, but not arrested.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why Henderson fired shots, and if he was shooting at someone or something specific.
