MARION COUNTY, Ind. —  The Marion County Coroner’s office is pursuing more funding.

Their budget was cut this year, but a new proposal before the City-County Council asks for $300,000 more dollars for the office.

This comes after concerns over staffing shortfalls and the cost of supplies.

If the funding is issued, it would go toward addressing an increase in death investigations, the Coroner’s Office said.
