Funeral Home Apologizes After Corpse Falls Out of Hearse
A scene straight from Little Miss Sunshine or even Death at a Funeral.
Imagine you’re taking a family drive on a lovely autumn day. The kids are getting along in the backseat. Your spouse is talking about how it’s the perfect day. The skies are blue…the music is playing “country roads…” WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN A CORPSE FLIES OUT OF A MOVING HEARSE IN FRONT OF YOU.
Well kids, sometimes life is a highway and so is death.
A funeral home in Poland is apologizing after a corpse falls out of their hearse and into traffic.
The company says while transporting the body, “an unexpected technical failure” with the car’s trunk lock resulted in the body exiting the hearse. The funeral home posted an apology to the witnesses and the family of the loved one that was tossed out the car like a candy wrapper in the 70s.
“It is with deep regret that we inform you that as a result of an unexpected technical failure of the electric tailgate lock in the hearse, during the transport of the body of the deceased, an unfortunate event occurred which does not reflect the high standards of our company.”
