STATEWIDE–This week is National FFA Week.

Tamara Ketchen, Director of the Indiana FFA Association, says chapters host a variety of events to educate, advocate and celebrate the agricultural industry.

The Indiana FFA State Officers are traveling the state to participate in activities with local FFA chapters and their communities.

This week State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) presented Senate Concurrent Resolution 4, which recognizes the National FFA Organization and the Indiana FFA Association for their “exemplary work in the advancement of agricultural education in Indiana and across the country.”

“The Indiana FFA is making a lasting impact on the future leaders of agriculture and deserves to be recognized for their hard work. I look forward to watching the members of FFA continue to live out their motto and leave a positive impact on their community,” said Leising.

The FFA has more than 11,600 members and 200 chapters in Indiana.
