LAWRENCE, Ind.–A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after being shot while trying to rob an employee of Indy Pawn in Lawrence.

Police said the attempted hold-up was outside the store on Pendleton Pike about 3:45 Tuesday afternoon. An employee was leaving the store when he was approached by three people. At least one of them had a gun.

The employee and teenager shot at each other. The teenager was hit.

The three people took off and let the boy out near 38th St. and Franklin Rd., which is where police found him. He was treated at Riley Children’s Health before being arrested.
