FISHERS, Ind. — Lots of new jobs are coming to Fishers as another life sciences company is setting up shop.

Mayor Scott Fadness says the South Korean-based company List Biotherapeutics, Inc, is planning to build a new facility in Fishers in a $125 million investment. It’s not clear yet how many jobs will be created.

“I mean we feel fairly confident that we can be an epicenter for life sciences throughout the Midwest,” Fadness told Inside Indiana Business. “I think the sky is the limit for this type of industry in the area.”

List Biotherapeutics manufactures beneficial bacteria used to target a variety of diseases or conditions.

The company is following two other life sciences companies in building facilities in Fishers. Stevanato, based in Italy, broke ground in September on a $145 million plant, which will eventually create 230 jobs.

Another 150 Hoosiers will be hired by INCOG Biopharma Services after that company announced a $60 million investment in Fishers in October 2020.
