INDIANAPOLIS — As it turns out, there is such a thing as too many cats and dogs.
It’s an issue that Indy Animal Care Services is struggling with right now.
The shelter on Indy’s south side has taken in so many cats and dogs in recent days that it is out of space and animals coming into the shelter are being placed in temporary crates until room in a cage or kennel opens up.
Indy ACS is asking anyone who has thought about adopting a cat or dog to do so now.
Adoptions are free and appointments are not required.
If you’re not able to adopt, you can help the shelter by fostering an animal, signing up to volunteer at IACS, or making a monetary donation.
To view adoptable pets, visit the IACS page on Petfinder.
