BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. — Police in Bartholomew County have discovered what they believe to be human remains.
These remains were found on Thursday, in a shallow grave just off 400 N., between U.S. 31 and River Road.
The remains were taken from that location, and turned over to the Coroner’s Office for further investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for 2:30 Friday afternoon, for identification and cause of death.
Police found these remains while investigating a missing person’s report. For several hours, 400 N between U.S. 31 and River Rd. was closed while the scene was processed.
